Subject: [mso] Can't Change Properties in Word Template

I created a Word template and have a 2nd one to create which is using
nearly all of the same information as the first with only a few
modifications. So I did a File > Save As on the first one and gave the
new one its own name. However when I went to enter some info in properties
for the new template I have a problem.

The problem is that the title of the first template (the one I copied) is
being used as the title in the new template and I don't seem to be able to
change it. The Summary and Custom tabs of the template's Properties dialog
box are grayed out. The Summary tab shows the correct new file name at the
bottom, but the wrong title in the Title field and since it's grayed out I
can't change it. And while the Contents tab is not grayed out, it too
displays the wrong title and isn't able to be changed there. This
situation, of course, precludes me from being able to enter info in the
Comments section on the Summary which we rely on heavily.

Can anyone tell me what I might have done incorrectly in this process to
end up with a template for which I can't change the properties? I did
unlock the first template before I did the Save As.

Thanks for any help.

Diane
