I don't think its Excel, I think I'm missing a step somehow. I'll keep

I have no idea why your auto filter is not working correctly, Renee ... If
you click on the autofilter dropdown for the Department field, and choose
(All), it should show everything .... then click on it again and choose
Administration and you should only see four entries.  If you are seeing more
than that, then I would say there's a problem with your installation of
Excel, so I would go to the Help menu and choose Detect and Repair and see
if you can repair Excel, becuz it's not working correctly.

I completed chapter 6 of Linda's book and completed the exercise 6.12. I
went back to play with the filtering and cannot get the list to filter
exactly what I'm asking for.
