First time writer!

Pandora's Box is open!

I have never seen so many views and thoughts on a subject.
Now, my input. From my first exposure to computing to the present time I
have been using a data base program, PFS: Professional File. This a DOS
program which may be passé to many. However, it does everything I want it do
in keeping my financial records and is simple. The problem is that I have to
partition my hard drive so that I can keep the DOS (operating system)
available. This is a bother to say the least.
I believe that I have made a stab at changing to other data base programs
much too often. This includes Access. I construct tables, forms, etc. but I
always end up with an inability to make a simple report plus not being able to
print individual forms, one to a sheet.
This prompted questions to many, who generally did not answer. (This was all
before I knew of MSO where I now think I can (could) get some answers). I
have started to use Excel to see if I could create what I want, but I may
revisit the Excel program!
