Hi Sandy,

I will answer your second question first. As Anthony mentioned there are
functional limitations as far as size and number of users. There are also
absolute limits as well. If you are using Access97 your database will lock
up at 1 GB. Access2K has raised this limit to 2 GB. Be very careful not to
reach this size, once you do, it gets very difficult to fix it.

As far as learning Access, Anthony is correct in his assessment of local
colleges. There are also a number of good online resources, including
Eclectic Academy (www.eclecticacademy.com) where my wife and I happen to
teach a beginner and intermediate course in Access for only $20 a class.
(Sorry for the shameless plug, I am sure Linda will understand, she promotes
Eclectic Acamdey too since she teaches a number of course there as well.)

Subject: [mso] Access question :VSMail mx2

I am fairly familiar with Access - I work with them at work and am able to
get around them when they have been set up but, I want to expand my
education does any one have a suggestion on where to learn online or a book
to learn from on how to set up a database - I want to be able to use drop
down menus - ex select 1, 2 3 etc...

And how large is too large? HOW big can I make a database? Is there a size
limit - will it crast if it's too big?
