Peter--

If it's SQL Server, my guess is you're connecting via an ODBC DSN (or via a
so-called DSN-less connection). If so, you'll need to speak with the DBA
(the administrator) of the particular SQL Server database to which you're
trying to connect to be sure you have a valid user login and password for
that database. You can save that login and password as part of the ODBC DSN,
and you'll not have to input it again. If you're using a DSN-less
connenction, you'll need to hard code the user name and password into the
connection string stored inside your VBA code.

Hope I didn't confuse you too much. ;-)

Peter--

It depends; to which type of databases is your main Access application
trying to connect? If it's a SQL Server database, for instance, that backend
DB itself manages its own authentication schema. The same goes for Oracle,
for example. If the backend is another Access DB, that application might be
using other than the default Access login/password combo. Too, if your
trying to connect to, say, a flat database file residing on a network share,
the operating system may be asking you for access to the remote machine. So,
again: which type of database(s) is/are your main Access application trying
to connect to?

Hello....
I am running an access db application and I keep getting prompted to enter a
username and password when I try and access different applications that
this db is connected to. =3D20 Any clues as to why = this is happening.

The name of the input file should have nade impact.

I wholeheartedly agree. I have been writing science programs too long to
believe it did make an impact, but the fact it changed then sure was a
strange coincidence.

FWIW ... My next move would be to build another new form and include only
one field field to display. If that works.. delete it and build another form
to display 2 fieilds... and so on. Start simple ... get unsimpler.

Also, are you including the photos there or links to them?
-End-
No to both questions. I am including the photo NAME though. My photo names
are useful to *ME* and I can find the photo fast on a DVD-R or hard drive,
but most of us would probably balk at my naming scheme. If I take a picture
today, at 3:15:00pm, I am naming that photo:
200504101515000001.TIFF Translation:
YYYYMMDDHHMMSSnnnn.ext

As long as we have long name ability, that will work. I am using the data in
Access to make 4 by 5" labels I stick on the back of the photo giving
peoples' names, births, marriages, deaths, locations, etc.

Lisa, Jim, everyone, thank you for your responses. If I find out the cause
why the first file did not import but the second file did, I will post it.

Robert

Hi Robert,

Don't "Open" the form. Highlight it and then use the little icon with the
triangle ruler and pencil in. I can't tell you the name exactly 'cause this
is a Dutch version... sorry.. but I think it's "Design".

That should open the form in Design mode.
