If you open the paste error table it will show you the records that didn't paste. Usually you can get an idea of what the problem was by seeing the records in the table. Example, trying to paste a number into a field with an input mask, such as phone number, or trying to paste text into a number field. So the corrections need to be either to the data in the 'from' table or the field format in the 'to' table to allow more data types/lengths. If you give us more information about what you're trying to paste from/to, that would be helpful. I usually have the best luck pasting a column at a time instead of row(s) when I get the paste error table, that way I can troubleshoot which field is giving me fits. It's a little slower, but if I check out the paste error table and the culprit is not obvious right away, taking it a column at a time gives me immediate feedback when I do land on the problem. hth, Cathy "Thom Peterson" <thompeterson777@ho To: mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx tmail.com> Sent by: cc: mso-bounce@freelist s.org Subject: [mso] Access: Table: Paste error 12/06/2005 01:06 AM Please respond to ..... mso How do I find out where it came from and how do I make the corrections? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The information transmitted is intended only for the person or entity to which it is addressed and may contain proprietary, business-confidential and/or privileged material.
