<<Publisher has maybe 10% of the tools required to actually "publish.">> Yep, I have it cuz I teach it at the senior center where they have a ball making greeting cards, etc. with it...and that's what MS should promote it as, IMO, and NOT as a desktop publishing program and CERTAINLY not something to use to make web pages.....eeeeeeeek!! And that was not a slur against senior centers.....I love teaching at these places!! And one of my favorite things to teach them is Publisher....they love it! Concentrate on refining (used loosely) what they have now. Why be a handyman, when you have the power to be a specialist? I have publisher only because the school children use it for doing newsletters for school. Otherwise I use a "real" publishing program. Publisher has maybe 10% of the tools required to actually "publish." I'm sure it is the same for the rest of the population. I'm embarassed to even tell the DeskTop publishing whizzes that I even own Publisher LOL Linda Publisher ~ ABC ~ All 'Bout Computers Owner ~ Linda's Computer Stop http://personal-computer-tutor.com FREE MS Office eBook Tutorial http://personal-computer-tutor.com/library.htm -----Original Message----- From: mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Greg Chapman Sent: Tuesday, June 18, 2002 5:39 PM To: mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [mso] Re: Access Macro That has been my major complaint with DB oriented software in general. Dian thinks I'm loony when I say it but I genuinely feel that DB apps like Access are an attempt to make large amounts of data even more unreadable. Even some phone book applications out there seem to be more interested in getting the data than presenting a reasonable way to work with it. You've my sympathy, Glenda, but patience for the DB world is very well exhausted in me.<g> And Linda, the Publisher folks think *they* are the forgotten child.<g> Greg Chapman http://www.mousetrax.com "Counting in binary is as easy as 01, 10, 11!
