April,

If you are going to try to use Outlook to do the scheduling, I would
recommend that you get yourself a copy of the Outlook Object model so you
can see what you may have access to and be able to manipulate. As far as
how you want to handle the employee info table, you probably will want to
hold off on that until you see the Outlook object model so you will know
what you are dealing with.

Subject: [mso] Access Emp Hours Available :VSMail mx2

Question:

On my Client table there are fields that ask what days they want a nurse and
for how many hours (they check each day and total number of hours requested

On My Employee Table there are checkboxes for days available... and number
of hours .... If I change this to start/end times available, when I get
around to the part of scheduling RNs to see clients... Could I .....

Eventually I am going to need a way to schedule assignments (an RN goes to a
Client) and keep the employee's calendars.... I'm thinking that I could tie
in this database to Outlook and use Outlook scheduling Resources (the
Employee's) to book assignment to see clients....

How should I design the Employee Info and days/hours available to make the
scheduling part feasible...

April
