Specifically, HOLD DOWN the left Alt key whilst typing 0, 1, 8, 6 ON THE KEYPAD (the numbers at the top of the keyboard don't work) If that fails, then try using the (well hidden) Character Map app. (Start, [All]Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Character Map)... Incidentally, this is where you find out the key combination to use for each character ...
