Do you have PowerPoint on your computer too? If so, open the
presentation in PowerPoint and go to the Slide Show menu and choose
Slide Transitions...you will see where they are set to transition from
slide to slide automatically after so many seconds. Either change the
amount of time to a longer time or check "on mouse click" instead of
"automatically", then you can control the transition by clicking your
mouse while the presentation runs.

But you will need to have PowerPoint installed to do this. Word won't do
it.

Subject: [mso] A WTC .pps Presentation-

A .pps slide presentation has been sent to me re: the WTC horror. It is
one of the best (worst) I've seen. The problem is that the scene changes
are set up automatically and they change to fast. The impact would be
much greater if I could manually change them, or at least if more time
was given to view them. Can I change this? It has been years since I did
anything in MS/PP. I do have Word 97 Pro. on this puter.
