I just received your file Pam and it has no little triangles in it...and
since you said in your private message to me that you also see these
triangles in your new empty documents, it's got to be something you have in
your global template.
You should try renaming normal.dot and see if that fixes it. I have full
instructions here for locating and renaming normal.dot:

And I'm sorry...if that is not a symbol that Word has in it's collection,
the only thing I can think of is find it on a website someplace and make a
screen capture of it and add it to your document as a graphic.

Thanks, but Word does not have this symbol in its vast collection. I was
hoping it could be created with some clever "tricks of the trade" by some
