Thank you and Greg also. It turns out that he was issued a new PC and
that is the one with the trouble. I was in his location twice
yesterday. He will just have to wait until I have 2 hours to waste
driving back and forth to fix his issue. I think I am going to remove
the Office install and install it correctly. Thanks again!
Jeff

The send and receive button is not usefull if connecting to an exchange
server using mapi. It is only good if you are using pop3 or IMAP

When he clicks on the Send / Receive button, he still does not receive
it.

I can't remember if this applies to exchange settings or not but isn't =

there a "send and receive every x minutes" option buried somewhere?

does it pop in there if he clicks the "send/receive" button manually?

I have one user who is not getting e-mail until about 20 minutes after
it is sent. If I send an e-mail to him and the person who sits next to
him, she will get hers, but he does not receive it for 20 minutes. This
is happening internally. He almost never has e-mail sent to him from
outside our company, so I don't know if that is also a problem.
We are using Exchange 2000 over a Wide Area Network. Both he and the
person who sits next to him are using XP Pro. All users have Office XP
and are using Outlook. Both users have the same permissions on the
network.
Thank you, for your help
