He sent me a text saying that they might not keep him. He got blood work done,
a CT scan of his brain, and found nothing. Now he’s getting a mri of his brain.
He said they discussed the carotid arteries, but it doesn’t sound like they
are going to do an ultrasound. His hand is still tingling, though. So, maybe
if his phone talks while he’s in the MRI, they’ll figure out that maybe, just
maybe that’s the problem. Grrrr! Duane couldn’t have a MRI, because of the
metal in his body. But it seems that they could look at his carotid arteries in
the MRI. If not, the medical profession, especially in Michigan, will drive me
nuts.

Subject: [msb-alumni] Tony is Going to Hospital Again
This time, it’s U of M Hospital in Ann Arbor. Tony had a MRI on Friday. Since
it was to determine if there was heart issues, due to his blood pressure being
so low. So of course, they only examined his heart. The results determined
that there was fluid on his pericardium, but it was within the normal range,
and no worries there. They did add contrast to the MRI, and it wasn’t suppose
to hurt his kidneys. So, later Friday night, he experienced an episode which
was similar to the seizures he has had in the past, mild in comparison.
Nonetheless, he made up words to say, he was dizzy, and a general lack of
personality. Then Saturday morning he woke up with his left hand tingling. He
was drowsy like he is normally after a seizure, and went to bed early Saturday
night. But on Sunday when I talked to him, his hand was still tingly and numb.
So, we had a discussion about his carotid arteries. He has never had his
arteries ultra sounded. So, Monday, they called his neurologist, and they said
the doctors talked. They have decided something must be going on in his brain,
now, causing everything, even the low blood pressure. So according to their
wishes, he is going to U of M to the emergency, so they can do more tests on
his brain, and hopefully his carotid arteries. So, I’ll keep you informed, as
I know something either later today, or tomorrow. Linda will probably post on
Facebook, so the next message you see, may be from her. So prayers, again
please for tony.
