Vicky, we are keeping Duane in our thoughts and prayers.  Also, if anyone talks to Sue, please let her know we are thinking about her as well.

Yesterday, we went to Duane’s vascular appointment.  When he described the blurriness he is having in his right eye, the doctor kind of flipped out. “Did you call our office to notify me this was going on?” he asked Duane. Duane told him no.  But really he did mention it when he had his CT back the end of June.  But, the doctor said this was a sign that surgery was required, and he scheduled it for next Tuesday.  Don’t know what time yet, but probably early in the morning.  This is for his right carotid artery which is plugged 99 percent now. So, next Tuesday, please remember us in prayer. Again, I can’t go, but if all goes well, he’ll be able to come home Wednesday.  The doctor goes on vacation on Thursday, and he wanted to be able to clear Duane before he goes on vacation.  So, for us, anxiety is relieved. Duane was so worried he might have a stroke before they would operate, as he was told that previously.  So since his eye blurriness lasts for a few minutes, and at least once a day, now, surgery is necessary.  And, then, just a reminder, Sue Neumann’s surgery is on Wednesday of next week.  She says she is nervous, but ready to have it done.  Take care all.
