I called Sue this morning. I thought maybe they would have her come in today,
for her surgery tomorrow. However, she said they want her there tomorrow at 6
a.m. with surgery at 7:30. Today, they have her on what sounds like a prior to
colonoscopy menu. She has to drink that magnesium stuff that makes your bowels
move, and she can only eat like jello, and clear food. So, they are prepping
her at home. She said she’ll be going to her niece’s house after surgery for a
couple of days, before returning home by Sunday. She said they are going to do
her surgery laparoscopically, putting 5 holes in her belly to remove her female
organs. So, that’s all we know for now. She said she’ll try to call me after
surgery, when she can. She said to thank all of you for your thoughts and
prayers during her procedure. Oh, she said they are removing a lymph node to
test, to see if the cancer has spread to her lymph nodes. If it has, she
doesn’t want to do chemo.
