Obituary for Roberta Louise Alman
ALMAN- Roberta L. Alman, age 69, died early Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at her
home in Greenville under the loving care of her family and Spectrum Health
Hospice. She was born August 9, 1945 in Detroit. On July 30, 1966, she married
Larry L. Alman in Detroit. Roberta was a member of the First Congregational
Church of Greenville, and enjoyed music, movies, and books. She and Larry
enjoyed a very special train trip through much of the United States together.
Roberta loved her family, especially… her grandchildren. She is survived by her
husband of 49 years, Larry; daughters, Theresa (Brian) Loper of Fenwick and Ann
(Noah) Cooley of Rodney; grandchildren, Brian Loper, Jr. of Fenwick, Sarah
Loper of Belding, Matthew Loper of Fenwick, Aaron Loper of Fenwick, David
(Krystal) Cooley of Alpena, Megan Cooley of Grand Rapids, and Tiffany Cooley of
Rodney; great-grandchildren, Leigha and Raelynn Cooley; siblings, Barbara
Miller of Ferndale, Leonard Vier of Livonia, Betty (Gene) Adolph of Auburn
Hills, Joanne Dula of Ypsilanti, and Patria Madden of Livonia; brothers-in-law,
Ronald Alman of Greenville and Tom (Marie) Alman of Lansing; and many other
relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Vier;
grandson, Daniel Loper; and brother, Paul Vier. Funeral services will be held
at 11:00 AM Friday, August 7, 2015 at Hurst Funeral Home, Rev. Ken Harger
officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
Inurnment will be in Clear Lake Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be given to Eversight Michigan, and messages of condolence
