OK, she described everything better than I, so here is her post.
Vickie
feeling blessed.
Hi Facebook family & friends. After a long day & a late 4 PM appt. with the
pulmonary
doctor, here is the report. First thing he said when he entered the exam room
was
that the good news is that he didn't think this was cancer. He said my chest CT
looks
better in the right upper lobe & right middle lobe. Somewhat worse in the right
lower
lobe. Minimal involvement left sided. He believes these findings are less
consistent
with cancer & more suggestive of an inflammatory process. Included in that
differentia
would be an entity known as cryptogenic organizing pneumonia. It could be a
fungus
or more of an allergic type reaction & that he is not recommending that they do
the
bronchoscopy with lung biopsy today, although in the future that may be
recommended.
Lymph nodes are still somewhat inflamed but shrinking. He wants to see me in a
follow
up in 4 weeks with a chest x-ray. Since I have miraculously have improved so
well,
he wants to see if I can continue to improve without medicine. The total body
scan
revealed no matasisizing elsewhere, so the BRACA 2 situation looks like it's not
an issue. I do have a cough still & I'm certainly not out of the woods yet, but
this
news was better than Tony & I could have ever imagined. We were prepared for the
worst & hoped for the best. When the doctor left the room briefly to get the
report
& chest x-ray requisition, both Tony & I held each other & praised God for this
incredible
miracle & searched the room for Kleenex to dry our tears of joy. After 2 doctors
had both discussed malignancy & cancer & to hear this news, we were so grateful.
We can't thank you all enough for all your prayers, good vibes & best wishes
regarding
this. Until next post...God Bless you all & thank you from the bottom of our
hearts.....Love
& Hugs....Linda & Tony
May God bless you now, and evermore!
