Well, it didn’t happen Monday or Tuesday, but tomorrow morning, it is pretty
much guaranteed it will happen. Today was a rather interesting day though. We
went by the house before going to see the Title person who will do the closing.
When we approached, there was the guy who we’ve been working with up here from
the builders. He was in the process of inviting a couple into our house to
look at it to show it as a model. Duane about flipped out. He went and
inquired what was happening, and the builder wasn’t going to let us go through
the gate. However, after Duane kept insisting and pushed the gate in on the
guy. I ran past Duane and begged Jay, to let us go in the house since I hadn’t
looked at the house inside. Oh, he was upset, and told me to calm Duane down
or if there was another word he would cancel the whole thing. We remarked that
he couldn’t, and he finally agreed we could go inside. So I did an in-depth
tour. Anyway, the couple left before we did. But don’t know what will happen
when tomorrow the cable company is suppose to come in the afternoon, and they
can’t come until the 23rd, otherwise. I’m going to try to have Jay let us in,
but if we have the deed by then, I’m sure Duane will insist he come and give us
the keys and so the cable guy can set up the cable service. It’s crazy how
they are trying to power struggle us all the time.

Looks like it might actually happen this time. Yesterday Duane and I went to
the Title Company to sign new loan papers. They were changed delaying the first
payment, and a couple of small items, nothing significant, just the 122 pages
of signing again, some of them twice. Hand cramps! Anyway, the carport awning
is in place, the fence, with a sliding gate near the property line, and the
aggregate rock have been completed. The Title company official says that if
the appraiser sends his report in Monday morning, after viewing the property
again, that the closing may take place on Monday. We’re doing email messages
to the builder, who has agreed to do the walk through when the home is funded.
So, if you don’t hear from me from Monday, for a while, its because we’re
moving. No later than Wednesday anyway, we should be in our new home. When we
went to the home on Thursday, we found the gate was in place and a locked
padlock was attached. We weren’t real happy about them locking us out, but
hopefully, we won’t have any issues with the builders once the home has been
funded, getting on our property. So, now I’m excited again! Well, really,
both of us are excited. Duane is already having me pack things that I consider
last minute, since we’ve been packed since February. But anyway, it’s finally
happening! Too bad it’s summer time and hotter than I wanted to move. We’ll
just move more slowly. Thanks for your prayers, and please keep praying!
