This year I just got a can to heat up. Not as good but serves the purpose.

Place the crock into the heating jacket, turn the heat up on high.

sugar.
Leave the slow cooker on high. About three hours or so, they will be done.
Keep an eye on them, make sure they don’t get too dry. Add water whenever
needed.
