Hi Tony,
I am glad you are home and doing better.
It is going to be a long road to complete recovery, but you are pretty tough
and you can do it.
God’s got this and He will get you through so keep pressing on.

Hello folks. It’s been a while since I’ve been able to read my emails, so
I’m going to catch everyone up on things that have been happening and also
to take care of a few things I need to take care of on this list. First of
all, be, I hope you and Burt manage to take care of your home situation
quickly, so that you can get back into your new house and use your own washer
and dryer. I’ll keep praying for both of you guys to keep you strong and
keep your faith as this process continues and let you get back into your new
improved home quickly. Second of all, here’s what’s been happening with me.
I’m sorry I haven’t wished anybody a happy birthday. But, I’m going to do
that now I’m going to wish everyone that had a birthday in the month of
February a very happy and healthy birthday. I hope they were good ones. My
apologies for missing him, but I’ve been in the hospital basically most of
the month of February because of hard issues. I went and on Super B
owl Sunday and they put me down for surgery on the 10th. They cut what is
called a cardiac window in the lining around the outside of my heart.
When I was in the hospital I lost 20 pounds. Most of that was because of the
fluid that was around my heart. Before and after surgery, it was causing me
to have a condition called A-fib. For those of you who don’t know what
that is, it’s when your heart goes from one extreme to the other. Mine was
jumping with heart rates of 26 all the way up to 174. The danger of this,
is it can throw a blood clot through your body, which could caus you to
have strokes. Fortunately, this tdid not happen to me. Surgery went OK, and
I was in intensive care for two days. They put me back on a ward for dialysis
patients. They released me on Valentine’s Day. With really low blood
pressure. Every day from that point forward, every time I would go to walk my
blood pressure would drop, and I would feel like I was gonna pass out. That
made thi
ngs kind of hard for physical therapy, because they wanted me to walk for 15
minutes three times a day. The next Thursday, the 20th, Linda took me back
down to the hospital, to see the surgeon’s assistant. They sent a gal in
that didn’t even know my case. When we showed her all the blood pressures
that Linda wrote down from the time I left the hospital until that day, she
readmitted me. Linda and I, sat in the emergency ward for eight hours waiting
to be put into a room. They finally put me into a room. On Friday the 21st,
my cardiologist gave me an echo and pronounced me clear. However we still had
problems getting my blood pressure back up. So Saturday, they put an IV with
Celine solution in Me. It worked for a little while, but It didn’t solve the
problem. Sunday was the same result. This was starting to give me anxiety
followed with depression. I finally made them check me out on Sunday. I’ve
been home ever cents. It’s gonna be a long road. But I think I can make it
. Since Beaumont was a family friendly hospital, Linda stayed by my side the
whole time I was in there. Sometimes due to the crappy diet‘s they had me on,
she would go downstairs and bring me up food from other places that worked
better for my personal taste. This has been a very trying process both
physically and emotionally on both of us. I just got passed my 5 pound limit,
and now I can’t lift anything over 10 pounds for another week and a half.
After that I can’t lift anything over 20 pounds for another two weeks. So
Linda has to do basically everything for me at this point. She has been by my
side through this whole thing and I love her to death for it. We would just
like to take this time to thank all of you for all your thoughts, prayers,
and well wishes as we have been going through these tough times. We
appreciate these things more than you can even realize. Feel free to call me
anytime. I’d like to hear from some of you. Take care and God bless all of
you.
