I tell you, brothers, the time is running out. From now on, let those having
wives act as not having them, those weeping as not weeping, those rejoicing
as not rejoicing, those buying as not owning, those using the world as not
using it fully.
For the world in its present form is passing away. ~1 Corinthians 7:25-31

Raising his eyes toward his disciples Jesus said: "Blessed are you who are
poor, for the Kingdom of God is yours. Blessed are you who are now hungry,
for you will be satisfied. ~Luke 6:20-26

We live in an unpredictable world. It can be hard for us to feel blessed
when we are poor or hungry or weeping or excluded. We might envy those who
are rich, full and happy. Yet these marks of success are only worldly. Those
who seem to be first may end up last. And we can be blessed in wondrous ways
even though others would have a difficult time appreciating our blessedness.
Still, we can work for the things that last forever. And our reward will be
great in heaven!

I pray that I may not judge myself by the standards the world uses. I pray
that I may know God's love in my life and work for the things that last
forever. I pray that my life might prepare me for God's kingdom of heaven!

We pray for unity in our country and that we may build a Culture of Life. We
pray for the safety of our troops, their safe return and their families at
home. We pray for a deep and profound respect for life, and for the courage
and willingness to stand up for life. We pray for one another, for those who
have asked our prayers and for those who need our prayers the most. Have a
good day!

May God Bless you and those you love, and keep you safe!

Father Pat

"Be still and know that I am God." ~Psalm 46:10

and are not always able to attend Daily Mass.
