*RICHLAND ONE TO OPERATE ON TWO-HOUR DELAYED START THURSDAY*
Richland One will operate on a two-hour delayed start schedule Thursday,
January 4, 2018.
Buses will pick up students two hours later than the normal pick-up times
(for example, if a bus normally picks up students at 7:00 a.m., the bus
will pick up students Thursday at 9:00 a.m.). School will start two hours
later than normal (delayed-start times: 9:30 a.m. – elementary schools;
10:00 a.m. – high schools; and 10:40 a.m. – middle schools). Students will
be served breakfast and lunch.
The morning session of the Preschool Children with Disabilities (PCD)
Program for 3-year-olds is canceled; the afternoon session will proceed as
scheduled. Richland One Middle College students should report to school at
their normal start time (11:00 a.m.). Middle College faculty and staff
should report to work at 10:00 a.m.
District employees (except the following employee groups) should report to
work two hours later than their normal start times:
§ Principals and all custodial staff and Maintenance Services staff should
report to work at their normal start times.
