Thanks so much! That did the trick.

Of course, its much easier, though perhaps a bit more tedious for power
users, to remove unwanted categories the official way. Simply use the arrow
keys to select the unwanted category, and press Ctrl+D.

It is possible that appData may be hidden. if so press the windows key and
type folder options. (you will hear "file explorer options) press enter
control tab to view
tab to the treeview and press s for show hidden files, folders and drives
and press space to check it.
press alt a to apply
press the space bar twice to make it global
shift tab to OK and press enter
try the path I sent with either your name inserted or it is possible they
named the main account "owner".

Bob,
Thanks for your help, however I inserted my name in the below file path and
pasted it into the run dialog box and it didn't work. I received an error
message that the file destination was not found.
Thanks!

You need to go to
C:\Users\your name\AppData\Roaming\aph\Money Talks\category.ini
Open the category ini file and edit it how you wish. make sure you note how
the file is formatted.

Subject: [moneytalks] Editing Categories
Hi,
I am fairly new to Money Talks and I was wondering if there is a way to edit
the list of categories. There are some categories that I will not be
needing, and if possible I was wanting to have the categories reflect more
categories that I would use. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Rebecca
