Glad you are getting it working as you like it.
Can't help too much here, not good at working with set files, a pitty because I
was able to create and manipulate them with vocal eyes. Can't get my head
around this global versus local thingy with WE. Anyway, someone made a little
set file once for somebody and they made sure to have the home and end six-pack
keys automatically announce the contents of the column that was landed upon
when the respective key is pressed. That allowed for autospeaking of the
amount field and balance field when home and end was pressed.
I don't know if you are aware, but the a t and t Mike voice which comes with
the disk version of the program is much better than micro soft sam. But that
requires purchasing the disk version of MT. You can get the same effect by
choosing a sapi five voice and using window eyes to run MT.

Well I finally have WE working well in MT. I really like the ability of the
self-boicing feature to work using the Shift or Ctrl plus space bar even when
it's voicing is set to off. I just wish that we would be able to swich to a
better self-voicing synth then MS Sam.
As far as WE is concerned, I just have to figure out how to get WE to speak
the column name along with the cell contents. It's a set file thing I was able
to set up correctly in Excel. I am trying to figure out what I did to get WE
to do that.

If you want to use just window eyes and whatever synthesizer yu usually use
with window eyes, then turn off the self-voicing feature of money talks by
pressing control plus F12. The money talks voice will say "voice off", and if
you press control plus F12 again, it will say "voice on". Once it's off, it
stays off, until you turn it on again, even if you leave the money talks
program and start it again.
Now when it's off, you should be able to move left and right with the
arrows and allow your regular synthesizer to speak as you move from column to
column in the register. But remember, if the whole contents of the column
isn't fully displayed in its column, then you won't hear the entire contents.
This would happen if the width of the column is narrower than the length of the
text typed into the column. You must widen the column by pressing alt plus
right arrow, keeping in mind as you widen a given column, the adjacent column
is narrowed, at least I believe this is true.
So what you can do is choose the very smallest font in the font menu under
view, to allow as much information to fit in a given space in a column width as
possible. You can even choose to eliminate the display of chosen columns,
allowing the remaining ones to become wider, regardless of the size of the font
you've chosen. All of this is under the View menu of MT.
Regardless of how much of a given column is being spoken by your
synthesizer, you can force the money talks voice to speak the contents of the
column you are focused on, by pressing shift plus spacebar, even if the money
talks voice is set to off.
Also, control plus spacebar forces the speaking of the currently focused
transaction.
You can even run both your regular synthesizer and the self-voicing
synthesizer together, which is useless. I usually start money talks while my
regular Reed Eloquence speech is running with window eyes running, then they
are temporarily working together. Then I go into the window eyes control panel
and shutdown window eyes. There is a set file you can creat often called
silent.000 which automatically unloads window eyes when you start money talks,
and reload window eyes after you exit money talks, but I don't know how to
create it. I'm sure folks on the window eyes info list can help there.
Are you successfully hearing the contents of the entire column when using
the self-voicing feature?
Also, if you have skype, maybe we can chat on skype and see if some of
this can be resolved successfully for you.

self-voicing feature of MT while in MT. However, I have used the Reed
Eloquence voice only instead of the self-voicing feature. The left and right
arrow keys work as expected, moving me from cell to cell in the register, and
reading the contents of the cell.
Be aware though, that when not using the self-voicing feature, only the
part of the cell visible on the screen is read with the arrow keys. Turning on
the self-voicing feature reads the entire contents of the cell, regardless if
it is visible on the screen or not.
I'm not using any set files specifically for window eyes. Wineyes.000
is the set file in use.
Don't know if this helps any.
