Hello.
I bought Money Talks back in the fall of 2008. Computer reloads (not related
to Money Talks) and a Windows-7 64-bit computer purchase later and another
reload (related to a bug in HP software), I've decided to install the latest
MT on this HP DVD7 Pavillion laptop. Tried to use my old disk with the
latest downloaded update but obviously no-go as registry locations changed
from XP. Called APH and got the registry key from my purchase and was able
to manually set things up.
However, I've encountered another problem: Under the Help Menu, if I hit U
for Update, MT should tell me there are no updates available. Instead,
however, I get the following:
Money Talks
This computer is not connected to the Internet.
Please establish an Internet connection and try again.
OK
Say what? I most certainly *am* on the Internet; I'm writing to you using
Outlook 2010 on the Internet. I'm using Microsoft Security Essentials and
the windows Firewall. I opened up outbound traffic to MT but I still get the
error.
What gives?
This isn't an urgen problem. But I'd sorta like everything on the program to
work.
