Margaret,The command to bring up payee/payers isn't alt plus down arrow. It's simply down arrow once you press ctrl+t, for new transaction.
Please try this test. Start up money talks, pres control plus t to begin a new transaction. Now press the down arrow key once. Do you hear the first payee/payer name?If so, tab over to the category and subcategories. If you've used categories and subcategories with the payee/payer name, they should be showing.
If you don't hear a payee/payer name when doing that down arrow, then the category and subcategory should be blank.

Hi All, I needed to bring my register up to date this morning only to find that the program seems to be acting oddly. The amount, category, and sub-category fields are no longer being automatically filled in and JAWS 7.1 says not selected at the first item when I alt-down arrow in the category field. I think it does it with the sub-category, too. It's been several days since I loaded MT, but the program was behaving normally the last time I used it. I'm running version 1.2.1.70 of Money Talks on an XP Home with SP 2machine. I did see the post about the new Beta the other day, but I wantedto bring my register up to date before I tried the newest version. I don't know if it has anything to do with the problem, but the machine seems to have re-booted itself overnight. MT wasn't loaded. I thought itmight have been a Microsoft update, but I think it is too early in the monthfor the monthly ones. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Margaret
