Fellow Lions and Friends:
I hope this email finds you well, and finds you preparing to be at the
Mid-South Lions annual meeting next weekend June 4 at the Hamilton Eye
Institute in Memphis. However, the list of those who have made meal
reservations is very, very short. Here are the people who we have reservations
for:

I am absolutely certain we will have our officers and board members in
attendance, but we will not assume you are coming...you'll have to call us and
confirm you will be there...please make your reservations with Lion Betty at
888-546-6042 ext 3 TODAY. Meal orders will have to go in on Tuesday next.
Also, we have received all of four (4) ads for our annual meeting program:

MILLS, MO LIONS CLUB
We used to fill the book with ads...if you club would like an ad in the
program, please get it to us no later than Tuesday, May 30. We can design the
ad, but need your commitment to proceed.
Maybe everyone is just getting tired of listening to me on these issues, and I
know times are hard, but Mid-South is experiencing a vice-like financial
crunch, and there have been double the number of applications this year over
last year. If your club can spare any...that's ANY funds to help us address
the great need for service, NOW is the time that it's needed. Summer and fall
are going to be extremely difficult if more money doesn't come in. We're
applying for every grant we qualify for, and we're asking individual Lions to
step up and become Boosters and Champions.
So, please make plans to come next weekend, and please consider helping any way
you can. I know we ask a lot of you, and you give a lot, but we are still
falling short...thanks so much for your commitment to service. I hope to see
you next week.
