Fellow Lions, There will be a benefit for Chris Anderson, spouse of District 26-M4 Secretary, Lion Tina Anderson, and son of PCC John and PDG Ann Anderson, on January 4, 2014 in Hamilton at the Hamilton United Methodist Church Family Life Center. Chris also served as State Athletic Chairperson from 2002 to 2006. Chris's cancer has returned after one year of remission. There is not a cure for this cancer as it has gone to the liver, but he is in a trial clinical at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX, and will be making numerous trips to Houston for these treatments. The Hamilton Lions Club and the community are holding this benefit to help defray some of the costs of travel for Chris and Tina. There will be a spaghetti dinner served by the Hamilton Lions Club with numerous items in a silent auction as well as 2 raffles. The raffles are for a 39" TV and an MU quilt made by Missouri Star Quilt. Some of the items in the silent auction are: a signed football by all of the players from UCM, along with a Mules sweatshirt and UCM painted rock; an autographed picture of Grant Wistrom (former Rams and Seahawks NFL player); a guitar autographed by Rascal Flats; some items autographed by Johnny Dare; a Jacksonville Jaguars helmet autographed by the coach; Chiefs tickets; Royals tickets; plus many other items including numerous gift baskets.
