Jem,
I don't give a hoot what gauge you settle on for your own project, but I
sincerely hope that you or someone will make a bunch of photos at the
Midlands Exhibition. I always like to see what the rest of the world is
building even if it is "different looking" from what we see over here.
Maybe Alan will be there or post photos for us to drool over.
BTW: Let us know what gauge you decide to build to. Here in the South,
there is mostly only 7-1/2" available.
