Peter
In Bournemouth we had no objections at all. I would advise getting a
friendly architect who can draw some 'pretties' in watercolours for a
presentation at the planning meeting. This helped a lot as they could see
what they were in for. It is also useful to put over the 'local amenity
attraction' element as councils like that community-bonding stuff.
If you want I will give you the details of our architect who is a great rail
fan, he may offer to help you guys out.
Richard H

Kind regards,
Richard

One for the UK contingent.

Does anybody have experience of the above?

In particular what the primary objections were and how they were overcome.

Cheers
