Well, I did live in KC for a while, (2003-2008), so I’m pretty familiar with
the basic weirdness of the area. And Kansas has always been a nope, fuck that.
Although they seem to be slowly pulling their heads out. But living in KS and
working in MO makes for really complicated state taxes.
As far as the drive to gaineville, that’s more of a big music opportunity for
me. It’s pretty rare for me to have to drive more than 6 miles on a given
segment, so actually having time to listen to entire albums will be quite
welcome. But I’ll keep that I mind, thanks! And I never got into the Sirius XM
thing. Not that they don’t bother me all the time, but I have so much music on
my phone that longer distances are my chance to really listen to the stuff I’ve
been buying for years. I just picked up the entire Prophets of Rage catalog, so
that’ll be fun.

1. If you notice on this image<https://i.redd.it/1p71648conv41.png> it appears
that Kansans want to be Missourians and visa versa. It’s almost like, “I hate
it here, we have enough gas to go to a better state." [A move ensues and 90
days pass] “I hate it here, I want to move back.”
2. 308 miles is an excellent audiobook opportunity. I might suggest
Behave<https://www.audible.com/pd/Behave-Audiobook/B06XW3MVNF> by Robert
Sapolsky. It’s an older book, but after reading it twice, I got the audiobook
so I could listen to it and attempt to rock some of the more technical parts.
3. SiriusXM is allowing free streaming of their content through their app for a
while. They have a couple Tom Petty channels and a Bruce channel now, and
Howard (Stern) announced today there will be channels for Prince, Rolling
Stones, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Metallica, and a few others. They are (where
possible) working with the artists directly to get unreleased content,
including live concerts, something they do now with the Bruce channel. The
Prince channel is being handled by some people that were very close to Prince.
I’m interested in listening to some of them.
