Do roseate spoonbill migrate through north MS every year? Or what is the
occasion? This is amazing to me, because these birds fascinated me the very
first time I saw one in captivity.

First time to coldwater NWR. Very nice setup! Today's sightings included:
Great Egrett 40+, Great blue heron 25+, Ruddy duck 1, American avocet 1,
Little blue heron 3 adult about 5 juv, American crow, morning dove, Turkey
Vultures 4, Wood Stork 50-60, barn swallow 4, American white pelican 3,
black-necked stilt 1(this one had 2 legs but only 1 foot. Didn't slow him
down though), Red-tailed hawk 1, pectoral sandpiper 100++, Roseate Spoon bill
7, Indigo bunting 3, Red-winged black bird many!, Northern Cardinal 3.
Killdeer 30+, Dickcissel 10ish. This includes birds seen from the end of the
paved road into the NWR.
