Hallo Miteinander,

hab mir mal (als Maillistsuperadmin) die Freiheit genommen die Archive löschen zu lassen.

Der Grund liegt meiner Meinung nach in einer möglichen Verletzung der Privatsphäre (mindestens der meinen).

Den eigenen Namen eintippen und sehen was passiert.

Ihr wisst ja, am 9. Februar ist Neujahr. Welches wisst Ihr auch, oder?

If you could, please delete the archives for the mailing list mirage
from when it began through 2004 (inclusive).

All set. The page at //www.freelists.org/archives/mirage/01-2005/ will be a bit goofed up until your next post comes through.


Still, we would very much appreciate a facility enabling deletes by date
range. Perhaps more admins can be encouraged to clean out their archives.

Actually, the more archives *aren't* cleaned out, the better it is for FreeLists. They don't take up a lot of space (2.5+ million posts equates to only 51GB of disk space) and they bring in visitors. Cleaning them out leads to a lot of HTTP 404's from people coming in from the search engines.
