If one wants to, one can make a pretty high performance rig out of it
provided one adds narrow band filters for various bands. Then, it will
become a pretty awesome performer on tx side as well.
The other way is to limit it to 1.8 MHz to 14 MHz with just a single low
pass filter. I'd personally got that route.
it is a very low distortion radio. The signal handling and the clarity
blows a number of high performance rigs out of waters. When I get some time
out from various other projects, I want to build one for 40/20m for my own
use as the main station rig.
