Dear all,
Several weeks ago the conference "Children in Migrant or Ethnic Minorities:
Demographic and Social Processes in a Comparative Perspective" was celebrated
in Rostock. It was a fruitful conference, which gave us the opportunity to
discuss diverse aspects of migrant fertility and related topics. Soon there
will be a short summary of the event on the website of the EAPS Working Group
Migrant and Minority Fertility in
Europe<https://www.eaps.nl/activities/working-groups/migrant-and-minority-fertility-europe>
.
Furthermore, the first special collection of the group - edited by Nadja
Milewski and Eleonora Mussino - is about to be finished! You can check the
articles on the CPoS website<http://www.comparativepopulationstudies.de/>.
Another issue related to the activities of the EAPS working group: In order to
keep the website as up-to-date as possible, we kindly ask all members of the
working group to send their most recent publications to Elisabeth
(elisabeth.kraus@xxxxxxxxxxx). New members of the mailing list can also send
their publications (from 2016 onwards), in case they are interested in being
also part of the EAPS working group.
Finally, Elisabeth Kraus joined the steering committee of the working group in
June. She is one of the founders of our network and works as a research
scientist at the Federal Institute for Population Research in Wiesbaden
(Germany) after she successfully defended her PhD thesis on migrant fertility
in Barcelona.
Best regards & we wish you all a wonderful summer,
Eleonora, Nadja and Elisabeth
