Dear members of the working group,
Thank you very much to those who have already given their consent to their
personal data appearing on the website of the working group.
At the same time I would like to remind all those who haven’t answered yet to
the below emails. No answer means that we are legally not allowed to list your
name as a member of the working group on the EAPS webpage. Please reply to
elisabeth.kraus@xxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:elisabeth.kraus@xxxxxxxxxxx> with the short
text: “I herewith confirm that I consider myself a member of the EAPS working
group on migrant fertility and I agree my name and affiliation to be published
on the group's webpage ” or similar. Furthermore, please specify your current
institutional affiliation if you changed it recently and/or it does not appear
in the signature of your email.
Thanks a lot and have a good start of the week!
Best,
Elisabeth

Betreff: Update EAPS Working Group on Migrant and Minority Fertility
Dear members of the EAPS Working Group on Migrant and Minority Fertility in
Europe,
We wish you a (very belated) happy New Year and hope that the first weeks of
2023 have treated you well. With this email, we would like to give you a brief
update on the activities of our working group.
1) Special issues: We have good news to share: The introduction to the
working group's newest special issue “Fertility and Social Inequalities in
Migrant Populations: A Look at the Roles of Selection, Context of Reception,
and Employment” has been published online in the Journal of International
Migration and Integration. The collection is edited by Nadja Milewski and
Alicia Adserà and contains 12 empirical papers. Check out the Introduction and
a full list of all articles of the Special Issue here:
https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s12134-022-01003-7
Currently, we work on the next special issue on use and consequences of family
policies among migrant and ethnic minorities in Europe, which will be published
in the journal Genus in 2023.
2) Next conference: Another important information we would like to share
with you is the date for the next working group conference! It will take place
on October 12 and 13, 2023, at the Federal Institute for Population Research in
Wiesbaden, Germany. PLEASE SAVE THE DATE! The preliminary title of the
conference is “Fertility and Family Dynamics in Migrant and Minority Groups:
Current Research and New Approaches in Times of Crises”, reflecting your
current interests and projects as stated at our side-meeting at the EPC last
summer. The conference is planned as a 1.5 days event starting in the morning
of the first day and ending at mid-day of the second day. The official call for
papers will be published and distributed soon.
3) Webpage: In order to add all names of the members of this working group
to our website, we need your legal consent to do so. Please could all of you
who consider themselves a member of this EAPS Working Group send a reply to
Elisabeth (elisabeth.kraus@xxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:elisabeth.kraus@xxxxxxxxxxx>)
indicating briefly that you agree that your personal data (full name and
institutional affiliation) appear on the EAPS webpage.
With our best wishes,
Eleonora, Nadja and Elisabeth
