Hi Everyone
As you will all be aware Sunday 23rd July is ‘Drive Your TVR Day’ Our Mid Kent
and East Kent Regions have decided to Meet at Bill’s place at 9:15 Sunday
morning for the convoy down to Bentley Wild Fowl and Motor Museum.
Dave Chappell called us yesterday with an excellent idea. He is proposing to
put a route book together to make more of the journey down to Bentley. You
would ideally need a passenger in your car to read the navigation instructions
or you could take a chance and follow the car in front of you ( hoping they
don’t take a wrong turn :) The trip to Bentley from Bill’s place would probably
take an hour but Dave’s route would most likely see us arriving at Bentley
around 12:30 - 1pm.
So just putting this out there to see if there are any takers and get an idea
of numbers at this stage before Dave gets his head buried in a map of the South
East and his compass set out.
I can imagine there will be those who’d opt to get straight down to Bentley
from Bill’s but there may be others who’d enjoy a more colourful route down
that’s a little more of a challenge. After all it is Drive your TVR day’

PICNIC IN THE PARK / DRIVE YOUR TVR DAY
23RD JULY 2017
SE London & NW Kent region would like to invite you to a repeat of an event we
hosted for last year’s Drive Your TVR Day. It was a great success with nearly
eighty cars and their owners enjoying a great day at a lovely venue.
The date is Sunday July 23rd and once again we will be at Bentley Wildfowl And
Motor Museum. This is a beautiful spot near Lewes in East Sussex with easy
access via some great roads. The venue itself has large grounds which include a
small motor museum, a café, some local craft shops, a small gauge steam train
ride and a wildfowl sanctuary which includes several lakes.
Once again we have negotiated a discounted rate of £6.50 per head, payable at
the gate, which will also give you a (one off) 10% discount in the café. Bring
a picnic if you prefer (or do both), if you feel energetic bring some games
along or just a few deckchairs so you can chill out in comfort.
Last year we arranged convoys from all three Kent regions as well as East
Sussex which you are welcome to join, if you’re coming from further afield feel
free to arrange something within your region.
