Once you press one of the eight buttons, press the cursor down button to access
your subcategories and use your data dial to select one. Once you find the
subcategory you want, press the cursor right button, and you should be able to
select a voice. Once you select your voice, press enter.
Also note that there are 16 main categories of voices. Since there are only
eight buttons, you have to push the button twice to get two categories nine
through 16. For example, pressing the first button once gives you the piano
category, and pressing it again will give you the synth lead category.
God bless!

Good morning: in looking at the manual for using category search, it appears
complicated. When I hit category search I assume I use one of the 8 buttons to
select a category, but how do I get into subcategories?

jmelas.gr <http://jmelas.gr> is where you will find the editors. Hit the Motif
site. Don’t know about Jaws scripts. Hope this helps.

Hi: where can I get the editors by John Melas for the MOXF? Do they work with
Windows 7 or 10? Also, are there Jaws scripts? I understand that using NVDA you
don't need any special scripts.
Thanks.

Michael,
If you want to connect with a great community of blind folks using Reaper you
might want to join the RWP mailing list – “reapers Without Peepers”. I’ve
learned a lot with that group in the past few months since I’ve been using
Reaper. They also have a Dropbox folder for Reaper that contains many useful
docs, plug-ins, instruments, tutorials, etc.
You might also want to check out the Reaper Accessibility Wiki at:
https://reaperaccessibility.com/index.php/Main_Page
There you can find links to lots of other useful resources and tutorials.
Enjoy.

If it helps, there is actually a hotkey with the Osara keymap for reaper,
shift+backspace:
Transport: Toggle preserve pitch in audio items when changing master playrate
Which keep the pitched unchanged as you change the play rate with the
control+shiftr+dash or control+shift+equals hotky.
If you want to change the play rate by smaller increments you can use
shift+dash and shift+equals.
Hope that helps. These are very useful functions.

Subject: [freelists-midimag] Reaper Issue Created and Solved
Hey all Reaper users. I thought I’d share this as it had me stumped for a bit.
I pulled in a song to learn. I often slow it way down to get the guitar solos.
This doesn’t change the pitch just the speed. I do this in the metronome
settings under Alt Enter. I’ve done this successfully many times.
In this case I changed the key of the song first thing. I did so by using the
down semi tone command shift 5 twice. Then when I went to slow the song down it
slowed it down as usual but also changed the pitch. Not good. I didn’t figure
out why but here’s my workaround. I saved the altered key version as a wav
file. I deleted the track. I then brought the wav file in and I can now change
the speed without impacting the pitch.
Hope this helps someone.
Have fun.
Michael
