If it helps, there is actually a hotkey with the Osara keymap for reaper,
shift+backspace:
Transport: Toggle preserve pitch in audio items when changing master
playrate
Which keep the pitched unchanged as you change the play rate with the
control+shiftr+dash or control+shift+equals hotky.
If you want to change the play rate by smaller increments you can use
shift+dash and shift+equals.
Hope that helps. These are very useful functions.

Subject: [freelists-midimag] Reaper Issue Created and Solved
Hey all Reaper users. I thought I'd share this as it had me stumped for a
bit.
I pulled in a song to learn. I often slow it way down to get the guitar
solos. This doesn't change the pitch just the speed. I do this in the
metronome settings under Alt Enter. I've done this successfully many times.
In this case I changed the key of the song first thing. I did so by using
the down semi tone command shift 5 twice. Then when I went to slow the song
down it slowed it down as usual but also changed the pitch. Not good. I
didn't figure out why but here's my workaround. I saved the altered key
version as a wav file. I deleted the track. I then brought the wav file in
and I can now change the speed without impacting the pitch.
Hope this helps someone.
Have fun.
Michael
