Subject: [freelists-midimag] Ableton Live 12 public beta with accessibility
Hi,
Ableton, in conjunction with a group of people with various visual
impairments, has been working on accessibility for their Live application.
The public beta is now available with accessibility on Windows and Mac. It
should work with all screen readers with no additional scripts, etc..
There's a small issue in the current beta where it's necessary for Jaws
users to unload Jaws before loading Live. Running Jaws after a bit of a
count then works fine. Ableton are aware of this issue and are implementing
a fix.
More information can be had by sending a message to:
On a personal note, I've been involved with this project for nearly 3 years
and it's been a pleasure to work with a development team that really get it.
There's still areas to address, but I think anybody that tries this will be
amazed as to how far you can get.
All the best.
Tim
