This is awesome. Thank you Alex and Tatyana. Any chance we can get a 0400 time
set up? 😜

Swim pals,
Great news!
Starting Monday, Sept 28, our pool is open for Masters swimming at Mercerwood
Shore Club.
Read on for details, because we are rejiggering things to be covid-safe.
First, a BIG THANK YOU to Alex Goldstein, our group’s Prez, who worked with MSC
(thanks Paul!) and hammered out the labyrinthian logistics to see that everyone
got plenty of swim opportunities, while keeping things financially feasible.
REDWOODS SWIMMING THIS FALL:
We have the go ahead to restart the Mercer Island Redwoods Master Swim team
workouts at the Mercer Island Shore Club. A few things will be different.
There will be an online reservation system--details will follow soon.
• There will be two 50-minute sessions (5:00 - 5:50am & 5:55 - 6:45am)
• 2 swimmers per lane, one at each end of the pool for a maximum of 12 per
workout
• All participants must bring their own equipment (kickboards, pull buoys, hand
paddles, etc.), no pool supplied swim toys
Arrival/Departure
• Wear a face mask
• There will be no access to the clubhouse, including locker rooms. A bathroom
is available but not for changing.
• Access and exit to pool will be through the double doors to the south parking
lot
• I am told an outdoor shower for rinsing off will be available on the pool
deck located next to the drinking fountain
• Do not congregate before or after with your teammates and remain 6-feet apart.
• Do not attend if you feel sick, or if you have been exposed to anyone who is
known to have COVID-19
• Only registered MIR swimmers who have signed the Commitment to MSC Reopening
Policies and Assumption of Risk are allowed to use the pool (attached)--you
must bring this signed document the first time you come to swim!
Our fee schedule remains the same as before:
MISC member nonmember
Quarterly: $175 $350
Monthly: $65 $130
< 35 years of age: $270/ quarter $100/month

Since we had to abruptly suspend our workouts this spring people may have a
credit. This credit will expire the end of the 1st quarter 2021.
MISC member nonmember
Annual: $380 $760
Quarterly: $25 $50
Monthly: $30 $60

If you are confused about the fees/credits, contact Alex Goldstein
(a_s_gold@xxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:a_s_gold@xxxxxxxxxxx>) for your specific details.
Lastly, if you would like to volunteer coach, please contact Alex Goldstein.
