Hello everyone,
The Over-the-Rhine Museum is happy to invite you to our next big
event, the *Over-the-Rhine
History Harvest* on November 26. The museum’s mission is to collect,
preserve and celebrate all the stories of the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood.
History Harvest will be a multi-layered event at *People’s Liberty (1805
Elm Street) *on Sunday, *November 26 from 9am-2pm*. In the lounge area on
the first floor of the building, five local history experts will answer
questions about their area of expertise in an informal, living room-like
atmosphere. People can come in and chat with the historians while eating
delicious snacks. On the second floor, folks can bring in photos and other
documents of Over-the-Rhine history for the Scanning Bee. The museum is
looking forward to adding more documents to its digital archive. Anything
from photos to letters to receipts or menus can be interesting and help the
museum to move forward in the planning and interpretation of its
bricks-and-mortar museum space. On the third floor, the museum will collect
oral histories from people who have lived, worked, worshipped, or played in
Over-the-Rhine. These stories will be preserved and made available on the
Over-the-Rhine Museum’s website as part of its ongoing Oral History
Project. Both drop-in and pre-scheduled interviews are welcome.
