What a great idea! I will definitely think about what I most need advice on. Instead of having someone come in and talk to our group, we are going to be having a group discussion and advice session on curatorial management. In order for this to work, we will need to keep the business section of the meeting down to 40 minutes in order for this to work. This is would be an excellent time to put forth questions and get some advice from the in-house talent we already possess. Everything from software to storage to training volunteers is fair game. When you all arrive, you will be handed a slip of paper where you may write a question pertaining to the topic and turn it in. Once we have completed our usual business part of the monthly meeting, the questions will be read aloud and members may respond with advice and suggestions. Keep in mind that this method is a way to get the ball rolling and is another way to help you identify resources within the group. It is a precursor to following up with these sources using our mentoring program, as well as a tool in the cultivation of inter-organization relationships. There is also some wonderful literature out there, so I shall email a list of trusted sources to anyone who wants it after next week's meeting. I look forward to seeing everyone on Monday morning. If you have questions or comments, please do not hesitate to email me. Aashi
