The nursing home with which I'm most familiar doesn't admit visitors to the
main part of the premises with or without proof of vaccination. This has been
the case continuously since 16th March 2020.
A visiting pod is now provided, which enables one of the 48 residents to be
visited on site at any given time. I think that (allowing for fogging between
visits) this would make a maximum of 36 individual visits possible per week.
All good wishes,
Martin

Hi
In recent days I have been visiting people in Care Homes. Each time I have
shown the text saying that I tested negative earlier in the day and that has
been sufficient, having booked the visits earlier. Yesterday I went to a Care
Home that said I also had to show proof that I had ben vaccinated. I pointed
out that when I booked the visit all that had been asked for was the negative
test, and that no other Home was asking for this. They apologised for the lack
of warning but insisted that recent legislation, in November, had said this was
needed.
Has anyone else had this problem - or does anyone know what legislation this
is? I've not heard any publicity about it. It was especially annoying
because it was a 50 minute return journey which will have to be done again.
