I'm announcing the availability of metastore version 1.1.1,
a tool to store/compare/apply the metadata of files/directories/links.
This is the bugfix release. All users should upgrade.
If you use 64-bit platform and attempted applying previously stored
metadata with extended attributes (xattr) entries using any older
metastore version, there is a possibility that your metadata on disk
is corrupted (mostly xattr). As long as you didn't store it again,
which would overwrite previously correct metadata file with bad one
(i.e. having wrong xattr entries), you can use metadata file to apply
metadata with metastore v1.1.1, bringing things back to proper state.
This serious xattr-related bug has been discovered thanks to Uros Juvan.
