*Advertisement for the position of Research Assistant*
The Centre for Ecological Sciences, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore
invites applications from prospective candidates for the position of *Research
Assistant*.
*Brief Job Description: *Job responsibilities include field and
laboratory-based ecological research on plant-soil, and soil-microbe
interactions. This will require fieldwork under challenging weather
conditions in different parts of India and long hours outdoors. Lab-work
will require basic understanding of analytical chemistry, microbiology, and
molecular biology techniques. The incumbent will also be responsible for
data management and analyses.
*Qualifications and skills*: Master’s degree in Biology, Ecology,
Agriculture, Soil Science, Forestry, or equivalent in any related
discipline.
*Project duration: *Initially for nine months, extendable upon performance
and funding
*Start date: *January 1st, 2015.
*Fellowship: *According to IISc norms
*No. of Positions: *1
