Dear YETI Members,
The Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) is an international organization
which works as a solutions broker to accelerate climate adaptation action
globally and locally, in partnership with the public and private sectors,
to ensure mutual learning and towards a climate resilient future.
Young people are powerful agents of change who deserve to have their voices
heard when it comes to decisions about their future. The GCA Youth
Leadership program aims to make young people central in adaptation planning
and implementation. In view of this, GCA has established a Youth Adaptation
Network which held virtual consultations with young people across the
world collecting the
adaptation demands of young people in each region.
As a next step, the GCA has developed a survey to understand the youth
perspectives and their (potential) role in climate adaptation. We want to
learn from your experiences. Your views are extremely important to us.
This survey will be part of a chapter dedicated to youth and climate
adaptation in GCA’s flagship State and Trends in Adaptation Report. This
report will inform and guide work to increase knowledge on adaptation needs
and solutions, as well as help to set priorities in adaptation planning,
implementation and the mobilization of investments.
The information collected during this survey will be treated only by the
GCA staff and for internal and research purposes only. GCA applies the
European General Data Protection Regulation and relevant Dutch laws and
regulations ((GDPR) EU/2016/679).
