*1. Nature Discovery Centre (Facility) Manager*
Wildlife Conservation Society/Turtle Survival Alliance India - Turtle
Conservation Program
Position: Nature Discovery Centre (Facility) Manager
Station: Biswanath Ghat, Assam
*Qualifications:*
*Essential:*
MBA in relevant subject (preferably Management, Business, Development,
Hospitality, Social Sciences, Environment Management)
OR M. Sc. in relevant subject (preferably Management, Business,
Development, Hospitality, Social Sciences, Environment Management)
Fluent in speaking and writing English and Assamese
Minimum age: 30 years
*Desirable:*
Previous experience working for a Non-Profit and/or in the field of
conservation/eco-tourism/eco-business
Strong communication skills
Working interest in conservation/herpetology/education
*Job responsibilities:*
1. Supervise day-to-day logistics of development and maintenance of
Nature Discovery Centre Building
2. Develop, maintain and submit regular accounts, equipment records,
reports/regular updates, staff daily duty cards
3. Conduct and/or supervise various education and conservation
activities at the centre on a regular basis
4. Liaise with government and private organizations to initiate,
maintain and further develop project
*Additional information:*
- Position is based in Biswanath Ghat but may occasionally involve
travel to Project office in Lucknow
- Position will involve three month probationary period, after which
performance will be evaluated and a permanent position will be offered
*Compensation*: Rs. 25,000 (all inclusive) with modest field accommodation

Position: Scientific Officer (Post-Doctoral Fellow)
Station: Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh
*Qualifications:*
*Essential:*
PhD in wildlife, conservation biology, zoology, ecological studies or
relevant subject
OR M.Sc. in aforementioned subjects + five years minimum experience
Minimum age: 35 years (age limit may be relaxed in exceptional cases)
*Desirable:*
Minimum of two peer reviewed published papers in Wildlife, Biological
Sciences, Conservation Science or similar fields
Previous knowledge of herpetological research
Previous knowledge in writing grant applications, project proposals and
reports
*Job responsibilities:*
1. Assist with writing scientific grant proposals, permit application
and reports
2. Assisting with study design and supervise implementation of long term
aquatic wildlife conservation projects along all project sites
3. Assist with collation and analysis of past and future data and
scientific publications
4. Represent organization in national and international scientific and
conservation meetings, workshops and consultations
*Additional information:*
- Position is based in Lucknow but will involve some travel
