Subject: SeasonWatch March Tree Festival 2023
To: <meet.yeti@xxxxxxxxx>

Greetings to tree lovers all over India!

Here is an exciting opportunity to admire the Spring-Summer colours on the
trees around you while contributing to a climate change study.

SeasonWatch <http://www.seasonwatch.in> is a citizen science project that
monitors the tree seasonality of 170 species
<https://www.seasonwatch.in/sw-user/species.php> across India to understand
climate change. Join this study with the March Tree Festival. This
competitive festival has three fun challenges for you. Check out the poster
attached to know the challenges. Complete these challenges with as many
observations as possible and stand a chance to be the *all-India winner*!

The event poster is also available in 10 Indian languages. Download them
here <http://bit.ly/3m5DCJe> and share them with fellow tree lovers.

March Tree Festival 2023
<https://www.seasonwatch.in/event/march-tree-festival-2023/>
When: *24 March - 2 April 2023*
Where: *Anywhere in India!*

To participate,

   1. Log in or register on the SeasonWatch Android app
   <https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=seasonwatch.in> or website
   <https://www.seasonwatch.in/sw-user/login.php>.
   2. To make a one-time observation on a tree, switch to the 'Casual' tab,
and tap on the blue eye.
To add a tree to observe once a week, switch to the 'Regular' tab and
tap on the '+' button to register the tree, then add an observation on the
   same day every week.
Observe the status of the leaf, flower and fruit stages on your tree.
Divide the tree into 3 parts through the centre, like a pizza. If the stage
is absent, select 'None'. If the stage is seen in one of the three parts,
select 'Few', and if present in two or all of the parts, select 'Many'.
Here are some quick tutorials <https://bit.ly/seasonwatchtrees> on
   adding tree observations.

Don't forget to make your SeasonWatch profile 'public' to share your
observations with other SeasonWatchers (Login > Account > My Profile > Make
profile public) and track the festival observations here
<https://www.seasonwatch.in/sw-user/exploreCasObservation.php>.

Looking forward to your participation and tree stories!

Happy SeasonWatching!
