University of Eastern Finland, School of Forest Sciences offers three
internationally renowned Master of Science programmes. We are one of the
best academic units in forest sciences in the world and internationally
known for our excellence in research and research based teaching. If you
are interested in how forests and wood can be managed for the benefit of
the global development, to alleviate climate change and to solve challenges
in energy supply, you have come to a right place.
The University of Eastern Finland offers a generous scholarship programme
for students who are subject to tuition fees. The scholarship programme has
3 categories:
2-year scholarship that covers the entire tuition fee for 2 academic years.
2-year scholarship that covers 80 % of the tuition fee for 2 academic years.
1-year scholarship for outstanding performance during the 1st study year.
The scholarship covers the 2nd year tuition fee.
Furthremore, MSc European Forestry programme offers Erasmus Mundus
scholarships up to 48,000 EUR.

Wood Materials Science, MSc
Master's Degree Programme in Wood Materials Science is a course-based
programme that trains experts in production and use of wood for novelty
bio-based materials, products and energy. Our graduates find work as
technology specialists, researchers, and project managers in development
organisations and R&D departments of bio-based industry and energy cluster.

MSc European Forestry is an Erasmus+: Erasmus Mundus course-based programme
offered jointly by six top-quality European universities. MSc EF provides
you with academic education in the field of sustainable resource management
with a special emphasis on bioeconomy. Our graduates are highly appreciated

Forestry (CBU), MSc
MSc Forestry is a course-based MSc programme run by a university consortium
of Finnish and Russian universities - Cross Border University (CBU). Our
graduates are experts in ecologically and socially sustainable use of
nature resources, who understand the special features of cross-border
cooperation and have cross-cultural understanding.

Transatlantic Forestry (MSc)
TRANSatlantic FORestry Master (TRANSFOR-M) is a two-year Master's degree
programme leading to a European and a Canadian Master's degrees in forestry
and environmental management. As a TRANSFOR-M student you will study modern
sustainable forestry and environmental management approaches and gain
multicultural perspectives on environmental, economic, and social issues.
Your studies will consist of one-year studies in Finland and one-year
studies in Canada.
